The student will learn how to make two different homemade simple cheese recipes using vinegar and lemon juice.
The student will learn and decide on what (optional) additions they can add to their cheese.
The teacher will demonstrate how to create 2 soft cheeses from scratch. Students can follow along and create their own if they have ingredients, or just watch and learn.

Homework? Let's eat!! 🙂
Getting your homeschooled kids up and active can sometimes be a daunting task. We discovered geocaching almost 10 years ago and are still having fun. Now that the kids are bigger (and some are driving), they like to go out and some of them have created their own geocaching profiles too.
Geocaching is basically a GPS “treasure-hunt”. You are looking for a container where you sign your name and put it back for the next person. There is a website at www.geocaching.com. You can also download an app at the google play store.
Today’s review is on the MunchPak. It is a snack delivery program that contains snack foods from around the world. We chose a monthly subscription and chose the original box which contains 10+ items. It was the perfect size for use to try everything.
We didn’t wait long for the box and it was less than $25 dollars for the one that we chose. It was delivered only 3 days after we ordered it. WOW! And there was a variety of snacks from 7 different countries. I loved that they were labeled by country in the box and each of the kids found something that they link.
Laughs and giggles went around the table along with the foods. I foresee us studying each of the countries that we received foods from in our homeschool program.
This received a 2-Thumbs up from everyone in our house!!
I have discovered the best thing since sliced bread! No seriously!! Listen to me! If you have a child with Autism or Sensory Processing Disorder and have considered a weighted blanket, TRY THIS!
So many of you know our journey with our amazing little autist. Berlyn is growing up on us! I have always wanted a weighted blanket, but have not been able to afford its hefty price tag. I am not a good enough seamstress to sew one together to last the CRAZINESS that my Berlyn would put it through.
We found this frog and it is the best $50 I have ever spent. He puts it on his lap, chest, shoulders, head…. He does it without anyone telling him to as if the doll tells him to do it. This frog has become a part of our family over the last several weeks. Berlyn is focusing more on his schoolwork now too.
If you are interested, Click on the link below and check them out. There are also lizzards, snakes and even a dolphin. The one that we picked up for Berlyn weighs 2.5kg ( about 5.5 pounds). They also come in other weights too.
We have been meaning to get started on this new curriculum. We had been eyeballing this book for a while and I overheard another mom talking about this class that her kids were signed up for… I thought, well, WE can get the book and do this… And so far, WE LOVE IT!
The book is divided into 3 different sections.
The first is a section includes histories and photos. Day 1 talks about Mesopotamia and shows different types of maps from up to 2500 years BC. It has photos of stone maps, papyrus maps and even a drawing of a Polynesian map.
Section 2 is a MAP DRAWING Section. It is a step by step on drawing a map of certain area of the world. Lesson one is drawing Mesopotamia including the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Even my 7 year-olds could follow long with the drawings.
Section 3 is extra activities… in this activity, you could make a dough and draw a map in it.
We just began this book. I had several old rolls of butcher paper that I had picked up at a yard sale. So, my supplies were very inexpensive. WE LOVED starting this book. I can’t wait until we get through more of it.
