December 2010 Advent – December 18th – Visit a local Christmas Activity

Our Scout family put together an AWESOME display at the Home-town Christmas. Each of the Cubbies created ornaments for the tree.We cut out camping diecuts and glittered pine cones. We used rope as garland and even made a tree topper of pinecones (my mom got on a kick while helping us organize the ornaments and saw my pinecone Chrismas tree in the kids schoolroom)

Larry, Joan(our Tiger Leader), 4 boys (and one other parent) put up our display to be judged and we got 3rd place out of about 30 other trees!!! WOOHOO!! I am SO proud of those boys!

Luke 2:13 – Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, —

I LOVE March

March is such a FUN month in our family… It is the “BIRTHDAY Month”. My sister’s beau, Jason, is on March 13th, my nephew, Brent, is March 18th, Lar is March 22nd and my dad is March 23rd. I really think that the boys want to celebrate all month, especially with cake…

Yesterday was Griffen’s Blue and Gold ceremony with scouts. Berlyn was through after the food, so I missed most of it. 🙁 It happens when you have little ones. I did get to see Grif get his Wolf Badge from Larry!!

So far, so good on my photo class. This one has been really worrying me. I LOVE digital so, this film thing is HARD! I hate not being able to see my photo instantly.

It is also the month of GREEN (My FAVORITE COLOR!!!) I have created a digital kit for St. Patrick’s Day.

I LOVE Saturdays

I LOVE SATURDAYS!! Today was an AWESOME Day… a day of just being with the kiddos… This is the last Saturday before my classes start back up at the college.

This afternoon, we met all of the WOLVES from Griffen’s Wolf Pack at my dad’s shop to take down a the flag and to fold it. This was a completion for one of the requirements… The little guys were SO CUTE!

Wolf Scouts after flag ceremony

Off to church and then home for a movie… Rowey was plumb tuckered out and fell asleep on dad with watching Goonies. (If you haven’t seen that movie, you have got to pick it up. We watch it at least once a month in our house.
