  1. Just being able to share in the celebration of our Lord’s birth and several in our family as well. The decorating, the cookie baking, seeing others we don’t get to often.

  2. On “Black Friday” the day after Thanksgiving, my family traditionally makes our Christmas tamales. We’re all together, none of us want to shop. It’s a TON of work, but we have three generations smashed into my Nana’s kitchen all laughing, and working, and talking. We freeze the tamales and eat them at Christmas and throughout the year.

    I love spending that one day making my comfort food for the rest of the year. Whenever I eat one of our tamales I always think about our “Black Friday”
