The good and the bad weekend

You can follow our family on youtube on our many foster-adopt homeschooling adventures

Lar and I escaped town on Friday with the kiddos. We took them to the Wildlife World Zoo in Phoenix. I also managed to buy a netbook for Grif’s school work – so I feel like I accomplished SOMETHING! Found those $228 emachines at Walmart!!) We had a FANTASTIC time at the zoo. The highlight was the feeding of the lorries. They were INCREDIBLE little parrots that landed right on you to eat. Berlyn LOVED petting the sting Rays. The baby giraffe had to have been my favorite.

By the end of the evening, Rowan was plumb tuckered out. It took about 5 minutes after strapping her in her carseat for her to fall asleep.

On the way home, Lar and I stopped by Best Buy and I FINALLY bought a new camera. YEAH!! A Nikon D5000, 12.3 megapixel DSLR. I am SO EXCITED and have missed my last camera so badly.

On the way home, I started getting itchy. I don’t know what I was allergic to, but by the next morning, I had hives on 70% of my body. Today is the first day that I have been feeling better… Although, this morning, I woke up with swollen lips – Move over Angelina Jolie! πŸ˜‰
