It has been 2 years and 8 months (not to the day) that we said goodbye to our amazing little Freckle Face. Not a day goes by that we don’t talk about him or are reminded of something funny that he did. He truly was a gift to everyone around him.

Breckin was a jokester, a comedian, and a snuggle monster. Yesterday, my dad and I were talking about the freeze-dry machine. And I was reminded of a funny story.

Oh, did Breckin LOVE to eat. I took him to the Chino Valley Oathkeeper’s meeting where one of the ladies had brought in snacks. (Freeze Dried Pizza!) Breckin ate much more than I knew about and about 3/4 through the meeting, he told me that his belly was hurting. I had him drink water.

Little did this mama know, he had eaten 2 large freeze-dried pizzas! And I had him rehydrate himself AND those pizzas in his belly! He was hurting and once they were rehydrated, he had one full belly!

He was so excited when I told him that we were ordering our own freeze-dryer! He made me a list of all of the foods that he wanted.

I am continued to be blessed every day with all 8 of my children, Breckin included.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
