After 16 years of homeschooling, I finally broke down and bought a bookbinding machine. I chose the one by We R Memory Keepers and Heidi Swapp who are both well-known names in scrapbooking. They have a square hole which is what I picked up and a round hole (You can tell by the shape of the “buttons” on the machine.)
Why did I finally make this choice? It cost me about $5 / binding for each item if I go to the office supply store. …. AND my 4 youngest are all using some printable PDF curriculum for school this year….. So far, I have bound 5 separate pieces for the kids (2 levels of handwriting, bible, and 2 different sciences) and I know that I will be using this machine for additional books this year and for many years to come. – I actually SAVED money for far this year!!!
I do have 2 laser printers – one color and one black and white with a scanner…. so it is reasonable to print as much as I need.
I did learn that you DO NOT need to purchase the expensive binding…. The machine cuts the holes at 2 to 1 Pitch – so I picked up a bulk box for $20 on Amazon too!!!
